I realized that I haven’t given an update lately on my Shell Savers App. I’m excited to say that we are expanding to 55 restaurants in California and Texas! I chose Texas as the next state because they have a large volume of oyster from the Gulf. All together, we will help these restaurants in recycling over 300,000 pounds of shells out of landfills. I also am talking with a new project in Louisiana. The shells will be returned to local waters to create reefs to block sea level rise and clean the water. It’s a win-win for restaurants and local communities who want to protect themselves from coastal flooding and keep the ocean clean.
